What do you get with 360?

High Quality Images

During the shoot, a series of 24 images are collected for each sample. These images are 12 megapixels or better.

Reference Shot

This is a high quality image that includes a reference item for scale, such as a ruler or coin.

Hotspots

These are a series of close-up, detailed images that are interactive with the final animation.

GIF File Output

The animation can be output in a .gif format so that it can easily be shared through social media platforms.

Presentation Files

When we generate the images and hotspots, we also compile series of powerpoint slides that our clients can incorporate into their own material.

Online Hosting

Files can be hosted on our “Hive-360” server and then easily embedded on your website. Alternatively, we will send you the files to host yourself.

Enhance your images even more

Hive offers a series of other services that can really enhance your specimen! By photographing the rock first, we create a digital archive. From there, we can send the samples away for additional studies that can be mounted on the 360 animation and preserved. This is a great teaching and investor relations tool!

Thin Sections

The specimen can be cut into thin sections to show details of the mineralogy. We can capture the detail with our microscopes and create hotspots for your animation. 

Research Write Ups

Need a little color added to the descriptions? We can do that! Whether it is generic information about the minerals or the history of the area that the specimen was collected, we can help.

QEMSCAN / XRF

Much like thin sections, we can also send the sample for QEMSCAN analysis and mount the information as hotspots. We can also take spot readings with an XRF gun and represent the results on the specimen.

Assays

If you need assays for the sample, once we have photographed it we can send it along to an assaying lab to get a full geochemical work up completed.
